TYPES OF SELF-CARE

PHYSICAL SELF-CARE

It involves releasing physical stress, tension and taking care of the body. Some examples are getting a massage, exercising, yoga, and stretching.

MENTAL SELF-CARE

It involves engaging in active problem solving and attempts to understand issues that may be coming up and what to do with them. Some examples are going to therapy, journaling your thoughts and mood, coaching, talking with peers, mentors, and family.

Reflective Self-Care

It involves being present and in the moment. Some examples are meditation, religious practices, mindfulness activities, and gratitude exercises.
